Vision

FCA Cheerleading Ministry’s vision is to “see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of cheerleaders and coaches.”

Mission

To present to cheerleaders and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.”

History

FCA cheerleading started in 2006 with one camp in CA at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa. We formed a partnership with UCA, one of the leading cheerleading instruction companies in the world. From there we had 4 camps in 2007 and 5 in 2008 stretching from the west coach to the east coast. This year in 2009, we will have 7 camps and we plan to double that in 2010! I was hired in October of 2007 as the regional director for FCA cheerleading out of Atlanta, GA. In December, 2008 the cheerleading ministry became the 9th national sports specific ministry and I am the national director. I am continuing to grow the camps Nationally , while using GA as an example of a regional ministry for cheer as I look to hire regional directors. My journey to this point has been as a college cheerleader at UGA where I cheered for my husband, Matt, an offensive lineman for the Dawgs, a high school coach and then the UGA cheer coach for 12 years. During all that time I was involved with FCA as an athlete, coach, huddle coach, and board member. God gave me all these experiences to lead me to this ministry. I am honored to serve him with FCA!
