Since 2006, FCA Cheer has ministered to cheerleaders and coaches at summer camps hosted on various college campuses in the U.S. These camps are held in partnership with Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), the nation’s leading organization for outstanding instructional programming for high school and college cheerleaders.
How do UCA/FCA Camps Work?
Our partnership with UCA allows us to reach thousands of cheerleaders and their coaches with Christian camps in Alabama, California, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.
FCA/UCA Cheer Camps offer the same UCA material and classes as standard UCA camps and includes lots of extras like:
• Team Huddles with trained UCA and FCA Cheerleading Huddle Leaders who lead Bible study sessions on a series of specific camp theme topics
• Coach’s Huddles with FCA Cheerleading's National Director who facilitates adult Bible study sessions
• Nightly chapel sessions featuring live music performances, skits and testimonies as well as a specially-crafted teen message from a gifted Christian speaker
• Fun Christian chants for cheerleaders of all ages
Who are the Huddle Leaders?
UCA and FCA Cheerleading Huddle Leaders are volunteers who have submitted an approved Ministry Leadership Application (MLA) to underscore their faith and readiness to minister to others. Huddle Leaders are selected by FCA Cheerleading’s National Director and they are assigned to cheer teams at each summer camp as appropriate.
Does FCA Cheerleading host private camps?
In 2012, FCA Cheer will begin offering private camps. Your team can enjoy quality cheer instruction with Christian Bible study in the comforts of your home gym or school.
